The group known as the ✨ Fancy Five ✨
Trail Blaze (Spirit of Magic),
Fire Hawk (Spirit of Kindness),
Gentle Growth (Spirit of Generosity),
Muscular Muscle (Spirit of Loyalty), and
Giggle Tonic (Spirit of Laughter)
have been living in Ponyville, working their flanks off for Giggle Tonic’s transport business: “Giggle Tonic’s Totally Reliable (Probably) Delivery Service”, with Trail Blaze acting as her ever-patient assistant.
🚚 The Job
The Fancy Five were hired to transport several mysterious barrels from Ponyville to the distant and dangerous Peaks of Peril, a journey expected to take three to five days, depending on how hard they pushed themselves.
💥 The Accident
Two days into the journey, disaster struck!
Gentle Growth tripped over a loose stone, sending the cart tumbling and spilling the barrels across the road. As the group scrambled to recover their cargo, they heard something… moving inside one of the barrels.
Curious (and slightly concerned), they opened it only to discover a pink-and-white Kirin tied up inside!
Her name was 🌸 Cherry Cinders 🔥
🌸 The Kirin’s Story
Cherry Cinders revealed that she had been captured and sent back to her village after fleeing.
In her homeland (a matriarchal Kirin society)mares must complete a series of marriage trials given by their intended partner. Cherry had been assigned several difficult tasks by her fiancé, Inferno Rose… but failed to complete them.
Determined to prove herself, she ran away to Ponyville to seek help but after offending the wrong ponies, she was captured and unknowingly handed off to the Fancy Five for return.
🤝 A Change of Plans
Rather than simply completing the delivery, the Fancy Five chose the path of friendship and decided to help Cherry Cinders complete her trials.
One of her tasks?
“Bring back a Gryphon.”
🦅 The Gryphon Trial
Fire Hawk took to the skies to scout ahead and located a Gryphon nest nearby.
After a very close call (and nearly becoming lunch), she managed (by the skin of her feathers) to negotiate with the Gryphons… returning with a single talon as proof.
Close enough, right? 😌
🔥 Ambush at the Village
With talon in hoof, the group approached the Kirin village only to be ambushed by three raging Niriks!
- 💪 Muscular Muscle flexed his way into intimidating one into backing down
- ✨ Trail Blaze used his magical presence to scare off another
- 💖 Giggle Tonic… handled the last one in her own unique way
💕 The Truth Revealed
Giggle Tonic followed the final Nirik into a cave, where she managed to calm him back into his Kirin form.
His name was Kindle Heart… and he revealed the truth:
- Inferno Rose had no interest in mares
- He was already in love—with Kindle Heart
- Cherry Cinders’ “impossible tasks” were never meant to be completed
- Kindle Heart had been secretly sabotaging her trials, hoping she would take the hint
(Also, thanks to Giggle Tonic’s… encouragement, Kindle Heart had a bit of a self-discovery moment about his own feelings 😌)
💔➡️💖 Acceptance & Moving On
Armed with the truth, Trail Blaze gently helped Cherry Cinders come to terms with the situation.
Through a heartfelt moment (and a very conveniently offered shoulder), Cherry accepted that Inferno Rose did not love her the way she hoped… and that it was time to move forward.
🏔️ Resolution at the Village
The group returned to the Kirin village with Cherry Cinders and a slightly-dragged-along Kindle Heart.
After explaining everything, tensions settled, truths were acknowledged, and peace was restored.
😏 One Last Moment…
As everyone began pairing off and emotions settled…
Fire Hawk, watching all the unexpected romantic developments unfold, turned to Gentle Growth and casually asked:
👉 “…so, wanna be special someponies?”
