🌍 The World & Prologue
Magic exists in this world, but it is hidden. Witches and warlocks live among normal people, blending into society. Some learn to control their abilities, but others either abuse their power or simply cannot handle it.
When that happens, their guardians, parents, or authorities send them to Astra Noire Academy. It is not just a school. It is a place meant to straighten them out and force them to change.
This is where five particular students ended up. Dolas was selling potions to help people cheat in exams and sports. Aria used her charm magic to control others and make them do whatever she wanted. Graven relied on his father’s name and abused his magic without consequence. Emos was selling curses online for money. Julianne turned people into animals just to tease them.
At first, it was seen as kids being immature. But when they reached sixteen and still behaved the same way, they were sent away.
🚌 Scene 1: Arrival
The group arrived at Astra Noire by bus. Waiting for them at the entrance were Headmistress Elara Virelle and the groundskeeper, Bram, a large and intimidating half-giant.
Without saying much, Bram collected all their luggage into a pile. Clothes, personal belongings, everything they brought with them. Then, in front of everyone, he cast a fire spell and burned it all to ash.
That was when things escalated. Julianne immediately tried to attack him but missed. Graven followed up by casting a gust of wind that successfully pushed Bram. The Headmistress watched all of this without reacting, then calmly commented that their behavior proved exactly why they were sent here.
Graven made things worse by threatening her using his father’s name. Instead of reacting, she simply called his father. She then handed the phone to Graven. On the other end, his father made it clear. If Graven failed his first year at Astra Noire, he would no longer consider him his son.
Graven was then taken away for punishment.
📖 Scene 2: House Sorting
The students were brought into the Grand Hall where a massive grimoire was placed at the center. One by one, each student placed their hand on it. A loud, thunder-like voice echoed through the hall as it declared their houses.
Even though Aria clearly fit Charm and Emos fit Knowledge, all five of them were placed into House Ignivar. A house known for destructive and forceful magic.
Graven’s punishment continued. He was tied up and displayed in the middle of the hall for four days as a warning to everyone else. It was meant to show exactly what would happen if anyone stepped out of line.
From that moment, it was clear. Astra Noire was not a normal school.
🏫 Scene 3: First Week & Classes
After Graven was released, the group was given about a week to settle into their dormitories. The boys and girls were separated into different sections, and they were slowly introduced to life in the academy.
Their first class was Illusion and Enchantment, taught by Professor Serra, also known as “The Succubus.” She had a reputation for her appearance and behavior, and many believed she might actually be a succubus.
The class was supposed to learn a spell called Siren’s Song, which would attract others for a short period of time. Instead, due to a mishap, their version of the spell ended up doing the opposite. It repelled all men, causing them to run away instead.
Their second class, Arcane Knowledge and Divination with Professor Cassian Mire, went much more smoothly. They learned how to decode ancient runes and practiced potion-making. During this class, they also learned about a spell created by a former student, a one-way portal that could lead from anywhere in the school directly into Cassian’s office.
At the time, it seemed harmless.
🎬 Scene 4: The Semester
Over the next few months, classes continued. Some lessons went well, while others resulted in chaos and magical accidents. There were moments of success, moments of failure, and plenty of trouble caused by the group.
They started getting used to the academy, to the teachers, and to each other. While they were not exactly friends, they were no longer strangers either.
At the same time, Astra Noire itself started to feel less like a school and more like a place that constantly tested them, pushing them to their limits.
⚠️ Scene 5: The Incident
As the final exams approached, rumors began spreading across the academy. Students whispered that failing the exam did not just mean repeating the year. Something worse would happen.
Curious and concerned, the group decided to investigate. Everyone except Dolas used the portal spell to sneak into Professor Cassian’s office after hours.
Cassian immediately told them to leave, explaining that it would not look good if people found out students were in his office alone at night. But Aria had a plan. She decided to cast an illusion to make it look like there were several adult men in the room, as if Cassian was just spending time with friends.
The spell failed badly.
Instead of creating an illusion, reality itself twisted. Illusion became real. Large became small. Adults became children. Men became girls.
In an instant, all four of them were transformed into small ten-year-old girls.
Before they could even process what had happened, Emos accidentally pricked her finger on a basilisk fang. She began turning to stone. Trying to fix it, she cast a counter spell, but it misfired and spread the petrification effect to everything nearby.
When the nurse arrived, she saw four small stone girls and assumed that was the situation Cassian had called her about. She treated them, reversing the petrification, completely unaware of what had actually happened.
🏠 Scene 6: Aftermath
The group was sent back to their dormitories. The nurse assumed they were newly enrolled prodigy students, and no one questioned it.
Now stuck in the bodies of ten-year-old girls, they had to deal with their situation quietly. They began researching in the library, looking through forbidden tomes and even attempting to contact ancient spirits for answers.
Graven, frustrated and desperate, tried to force the nurse to reverse his condition. He pressured her into casting a spell to age him up and revert everything. Instead, the spell backfired onto the nurse herself, transforming her into a young man.
At that point, the nurse had enough. She left the academy, leaving Astra Noire without any medical staff.
⚔️ Scene 7: Final Exam
When the final exam arrived, the group decided to take it on together.
The first trial involved a Myling, a spirit that targeted males. Since only Dolas was still male, the creature focused entirely on him. The others came up with a plan. They created a tea party to distract the Myling while Dolas used alchemy to produce milk and banish it. During this, Aria gave up her name so the spirit could rest, and from that moment on, she became Arya.
The second trial brought out a unicorn that immediately targeted Dolas for being impure. While he ran to avoid being trampled, Julianne jumped onto the unicorn’s back and began braiding its hair. This calmed the creature, allowing them to pass the trial.
The final test involved a Truth Fae, a being that made anything spoken into reality. When it asked Dolas for his name, he gave a false one. The fae accepted it as truth. When asked who they were, Emos claimed they were just young girls completing the trial. Again, the fae accepted it as truth. By carefully choosing what to say, they manipulated reality itself and passed the final test.
🏆 Scene 8: Resolution
Against all odds, they passed the final exam.
They became the first group of ten-year-old students to ever complete Astra Noire’s trials, setting a record in the academy.
As they exited, Graven’s father was waiting for him. He looked at Graven, now no longer the son he once knew, and simply said:
“I guess you are no longer my son.”
And with that, their first term at Astra Noire came to an end. But whatever they had become, it was clear that their story was far from over.
